Broadway Cares Executive Director Tom Viola to Receive 2015 June Briggs Award
Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS Executive Director Tom Viola has been named one of the 2015 recipients of the June Briggs Awards for Excellence in Destination Management Services. The awards presentation will take place on January 12 at the Eventi Hotel.
The awards honor outstanding New York City businesses that excel in service and performance in the destination management and hospitality industry. A destination management company operates with extensive knowledge of the places it serves and provides design and implementation services for events, activities, tours, transportation, and program logistics for meetings, incentive programs, and special events.
Additional honorees for the evening include television weather forecaster Al Roker, the National September 11 Memorial Museum, and Dean Vali and Bounce Entertainment. As part of the evening’s presentation, there will be a special performance from pianist Wade Preston, who played in the band of Movin’ Out on Broadway.
The June Briggs Awards were first presented in 2002.
